Apple's premium laptop comes in 13- and 16-inch screen sizes. Each model includes 2-4 USB-C ports for charging, accessories, and data transfer. And, the new MacBook Pro, with its powerful processor and heaps of RAM, is the fastest MacBook that the Cupertino tech behemoth has ever birthed. As thin, light and sleek as ever, this doesn't. If that appeals then look for a 2019 or 2020 MacBook Air or any MacBook Pro since 2018. There used to be a 12in MacBook. It has been discontinued by Apple, but you may still be able to buy one.

Which Macbook Pro Should I Buy For Programming For Beginners
I'm going to be starting my first semester of university this coming fall, and while I am still contemplating Windows machines, I'm almost certain at this point I'd like to get a MacBook Pro. As of right now, I am planning on studying computer science, so I figure I may need a slightly beefier computer than some for a few of my courses. I know for a fact now that I'm going to be doing some light programming (an intro to programming course), and in general, I'm a pretty power oriented user. This is truly my only issue with the Macs, is that the price is really up there. Don't get me wrong, I've owned an iMac in the past, and they're lovely machines, but they certainly are expensive compared to Windows machines in terms of what hardware you get. Anyway, I honestly think I could live with everything in the base model of the MacBook Pro 2015 13-inch model, except for the dual-core processor. I'd love to drop $2000 on a 15 inch model with a quad-core, but that's a little more than I want to spend, and while I probably could afford it, it would be cutting it close. I've looked into buying refurbished models and units from other years like 2014, 2013, etc, but it's spotty at best, and prices are still fairly high. Basically, my main question is, would programming on a dual-core i5 processor in a MacBook Pro (and other computer intensive tasks) be a comfortable experience? And not just for swift, but other languages like Java as well. Any help would be much appreciated, particularly from someone who has been in a similar situation before, or someone who has experience programming and doing other computer intensive tasks on the machine in question.
